assure health is a clinic based in Carryduff providing podiatry (formerly bt8podiatry), physiotherapy and other healthcare solutions to a wide clientele across Northern Ireland. assure health is owned and managed by Phil McComiskey. Inspired by his father, also a dedicated podiatrist and mother who worked as a nurse, Phil has been able to integrated their invaluable qualities to the practice.

Recently, our clinic has evolved from a podiatry clinic (bt8podiatry) into a holistic healthcare hub. our transformation was driven by understanding our patients' needs and the desire to provide a more integrated approach to their health and wellness. Today, we offer not only advanced podiatry treatments but also physiotherapy, sports injury treatment, sports massage, pilates and a variety of other healthcare solutions... with more to come! This expansion allows us to address the full scope of our patients' health concerns in one convenient location. By integrating these services, we aim to enhance the quality of care, improve patient outcomes, and support our patients in achieving optimal performance, health and well-being. assure health clinic - a one-stop solution for your overall health.

We are located at 127 Ballynahinch Road, Carryduff, BT8 8DJ (beside Woodlawn garden centre and Watson & Browne interiors). There is free convenient parking at our clinic with disabled access. We are open Monday to Friday. To book an appointment it is best to book online due to restricted reception hours. We may not be able to get to the phone. Phil

Clinical Director

& Lead Podiatrist

Phil is the founder and director of assure health. Growing up with a father who ran a busy Podiatry clinic for 35 years, it was only a natural progression for him to become a Podiatrist and run his own clinic too. Phil qualified as a Podiatrist from The School of Podiatry at Ulster University in 2016 and has nearly 8 years experience in the private sector. He has also worked with the National Health Service.

In clinic Phil has a special interest in musculoskeletal (msk) podiatry and is involved with prescribing custom made foot orthotics and delivering shockwave therapy to patients. For the past 5 years he has been our leading podiatrist specialising in swift therapy which is a new breakthrough treatment for stubborn verrucas and warts.

Deidre

Physiotherapist

Deidre completed her BSc in Physiotherapy from the University of the Free State in South Africa. Following graduation, she worked in Hospitals as well as private practice before she moved to Northern Ireland in 2022. She has also worked with netball teams in South Africa & Northern Ireland.

Deidre has a special interest in treating sports injuries & musculoskeletal pain. As an avid runner, gym enthusiast and pilates instructor she strives to build a resilient body, and will most definitely try to motivate you to do the same. Whether you’re in pain constantly or just have a niggle that is holding you back, Deidré can help.

Ciara

Podiatrist

Ciara graduated from the School of Podiatry at Ulster University in 2002. She has 16 years post graduate experience focusing on high risk (neurological conditions/ rheumatology/ renal disease) and the diabetic foot.

Ciara specialises in nail surgery, nail reconstruction and is involved in routine treatments.

She has completed Masters level education in vascular disease and has a special interest in foot care in diabetes.

Rebecca

Podiatrist

Rebecca graduated from Ulster University School of Podiatry in 2017 and also has a Masters in Sports and Exercise Medicine.

Rebecca has experience working in the NHS and Private Practice since qualifying. In the NHS she is involved in working with the high risk foot, Diabetic assessments, wound care and routine.

At the clinic Rebecca is involved in Routine Podiatry treatment and nail surgery.

Siobhan

Podiatrist

Siobhan graduated from Jordanstown School of Podiatry in 2004. Siobhan currently works as an advanced Podiatrist in the National Health Service with special interests in the high risk foot and Rheumatology.

Siobhan ahs also completed a masters level education in Diabetes.

At the clinic Siobhan is involved in Routine Podiatry treatment.

Aoife

Podiatrist

Aoife Graduated from Ulster University School of Podiatry in 2022. Aoife has experience in both the NHS and private sector.

Aoife currently works part time for bt8podiatry and also works for the NHS. At the NHS Aoife is involved with assessing diabetic patients, wound care, high risk foot management and nail surgery.

Administration

Beth is responsible for managing the administrative tasks of the clinic. This includes scheduling appointments, social media and day to day running of the clinic. She ensures that the clinic runs smoothly and efficiently, providing patients with the best possible care.

We are committed to invest into new advanced technologies which help us assess, diagnose and treatment foot and lower limb pathologies and sports injuries. We work closely with other allied health professionals such as local gp surgeries, surgeons and consultants.
